The 10 days Uganda safari takes you to the magnificent destinations of the Pearl of Africa including the powerful Murchison falls for a scenic view of wild birds and animals, proceed to Kibale National park, the home of primates, for chimpanzee watching, and then to Queen Elizabeth national park for a beautiful boat trip on Kazinga channel and wildlife watching during the game drive.

Murchison falls national park
Located in the north-western part of Uganda, Murchison falls stands as the largest national park in the country spreading inland from the shores of Lake Albert around the Victoria Nile up to Karuma falls. With the combination of Bugungu wildlife reserve and Karuma wildlife reserve, the park forms the Murchison falls Conservation Area. With a total surface area of 3893 square kilometers, Murchison falls straddles the Ugandan districts of Buliisa, Nwoya, Kiryandongo, and Masindi, the park is home to numerous attractions including the magical and powerful waterfalls – Murchison falls. Also, the park protects different wildlife species including over 76 mammal species, 450 bird species, and a population of 37 Rothschild’s giraffes.
Kibale forest national park
Located in the western part of Uganda, Kibale is one of the prominent national parks in the country known for protecting moist evergreen rainforests. With a total surface are of 766 square kilometers, the park features the highest population of primates that include; chimpanzees, Ugandan red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, black and white colobus, and the blue monkeys. Aside the primates, Kibale is also a home to some mammal species including; blue duikers, bushbucks, sitatungas, bush pig, giant forest hogs and others.
Queen Elizabeth national park
This is the second largest national park in Uganda after Murchison falls national park. The park spans in the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Rubirizi and Rukungiri with a total surface area of 1,978 square kilometers. It is known for its abundant wildlife including the; African elephant, African buffalo, Uganda Kob, hippos, topi, waterbuck, warthog, Nile crocodile, spotted hyenas, chimpanzee in Kalinzu forest reserve and the lions.
Also, Queen Elizabeth national park is known as a unique destination as it features the rare tree climbing lions in its Isasha sector.
Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Located in the southwestern part of Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable national park is situated along Democratic Republic of Congo next to the Virunga National park on the edge of the Albertine rift. Stretching over a total surface area of 331 square kilometers, the park is known for protecting almost half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas that can be seen within 4 sectors of Ruhijja, Rushaga, Nkuringo and Buhoma sector. Other species in the park include; 120 mammals, 350 birds, 310 butterfly species and 27 species of frogs, geckos, chameleons, and many others.
Detailed Itinerary of the 10 Days Uganda Safari
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your hotel
On arrival, you will be received by your tour guide and accompany representative from primate safari experiences that will transfer you to your hotel where you will be spending your first night of the trip.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa
After you breakfast, you will meet our company representative at the same time your guide who will transfer you to Murchison falls national park in the northern region via Ziwa where you will be tracking the Rhino. You will reach the park in the evening and check in at the lodge of your booking.

Day 3: Have a game drive and a boat launch on the Nile
Wake up early for your early sunrise game drive in Nyamsika plateau where you will see various wild animals including the cape buffalos, waterbucks, hartebeests, Uganda kob and others. The park also has different large carnivores like lions, leopards, spotted hyenas and many others.
From there, you will return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon boat cruise on Victoria Nile. Here, expect to spot various water birds and animals including the rare shoebill stock, hippos, crocodiles, and many others.

Day 4: Visit the top of the falls and Transfer to Kibale national park
After your early morning breakfast, visit the top of the mighty Murchison falls where you will sight the 7m gap where River Nile squeezes itself before tumbling 40meters down as it flows into a peaceful river. Pass through different traditional homesteads and farms and have a stopover in Hoima city for lunch and then proceed to the park. Arrive at the lodge in the evening and check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and nature walk
Wake up early for your breakfast and report to Kanyanchu Tourist Center at 8:00am for a pre-trek briefing where you will know the rules and regulations of Chimpanzee trekking experience. The trek takes about 2 to 3 hours and it gives you a chance of getting close to various primate species. After, you will return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for an afternoon nature walk in Bigodi wetland to see various birds and monkey species. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and an evening game drive
After your early morning breakfast, checkout of the lodge and proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will have a full day game drive as you search for several wildlife like lions, leopards, bushbuck, waterbuck, elephants, cape buffalo, giant forest hog and many others. After, move to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 7: Morning game drive and boat cruise
Wake up in the early sunrise and embark on your journey for a game drive where you will spot several nocturnal animals and predators as they are hunting for their prey. Among the animals to spot include lions, leopards, hyenas and others. From the game drive, move back to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch as you prepare for an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
Kazinga channel is a 42km channel where Lake Edward and Lake Gorge adjoins from. During the boat trip, watch the highest concentration of hippos, bird species, and several bird species. From here, move back to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
You will wake up early for a morning game drive in the park during which you will see Lions, Elephants, Topis, Leopards, Bushbucks, Cape Buffaloes, Defassa Waterbucks, Giant Forest Hogs, Uganda Kobs, among others. You will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
The national park is known for hosting almost half of the world’s mountain gorillas in its natural rainforest. These mountain gorillas can be encountered during gorilla trekking experience that is done after the purchase of a gorilla permit. Accommodation at Four Gorilla Safari Lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking experience
Wake up in the morning for your early breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for registration and pre-trek briefing where you will be given all the rules and regulations to follow during the activity. After, you will be led by the ranger guide to the park and who will help you search for the gentle apes.
After allocating them, you will be allowed to spend a maximum of 1 hour with them as you enjoy their lifestyles like feeding, playing and others. You will visit the Batwa community after your lunch. Accommodation at Four Gorilla Safari Lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe
You will after breakfast you will check out of the hotel and start your journey to Entebbe.
You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. You will have another stopover at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers center where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using traditional methods passed down through the generations.
