Red Chilli Rest Camp
Nestled in the Paraa region, just 500 meters from the Paraa ferry crossing, this camp sits deep inside Murchison Falls National Park—Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area.
Its prime position offers easy access to game drives, boat safaris, and hikes to the magnificent Murchison Falls.
Wildlife—like hippos, warthogs, elephants, and giraffes—often wander close to or even into the camp.
Founded in 1998 by Ugandan guides and entrepreneurs to serve budget travelers.
The camp fosters a lively, social vibe—complete with a thatched communal restaurant, fully stocked bar, and a campfire area for storytelling at night.
Red Chilli offers a spectrum of lodging to suit various budgets:
DIY Camping: Tent pitches for about $8 USD per person/night, with access to well-kept bathrooms and cooking areas.
Banda Cottages:
Basic Bandas: Shared bathrooms, mosquito nets, fans, lights, and solar-heated water.
En-suite & Family Bandas: Include flushing toilets, hot showers, private verandas, fans, lighting, and USB power.
