Detailed Itinerary of the 7 Days Ultimate Bush and Beach Safari

Day 1: Pick Up from Maputo and Transfer to Bazaruto Archipelago

Early morning pickup from Maputo International Airport where you meet our driver guide who transfers you on a scenic 470km drive northeast to Vilanculos, for a period of 6 hours through diverse terrain landscapes of Southern Mozambique. You shall continue on a boat transfer to the Heritage Bazaruto Archipelago where pristine beaches meet crystal-clear turquoise waters in an area known locally as “Ilhas do Paraíso” (Paradise Islands). You shall start immediately at your beachfront lodge where you’ll enjoy lunch and afternoon relaxation on the powder-white beaches of Bazaruto Island, preparing for the marine adventures ahead.

Day 2: Continue to Inhambane Bay for Marine Safari Activities

Breakfast then proceed on a 4-hour scenic coastal drive through traditional fishing villages and cashew plantations. You shall transfer exploring the premier marine destinations where the warm Mozambique Current creates ideal conditions for diverse marine life encounters. Your Mozambique African Safari day includes a sunset dhow cruise in Inhambane Bay, where local fishermen have sailed these traditional Arab-influenced vessels for centuries, followed by dinner featuring fresh seafood and local specialties like “matapa” and “peri-peri” prawns.

Day 3: Proceed to Tofo Beach for Whale Shark Encounters

Breakfast in the morning then embark on short journey for a period of 30-minutes to Tofo Beach known as one of the best destinations for whale shark encounters and manta ray sightings.
